Care
No summer without my Espadrij l'originale - with the right care it works.

Canvas
The primary rule of thumb is to avoid water and moisture, as the jute sole is very
dries slowly and odors can develop. If you do get wet from the rain
If you are surprised, dry the shoe quickly - whether in the sun or on the heater does not matter.
Washing in the washing machine is also not recommended.
Canvas
For surface dirt such as dust and sand stains, a cleaning brush with firm bristles can help. Carefully rub the affected area to remove the dirt from the canvas surface.
Then tap it off or vacuum it at a low setting.
Canvas
More stubborn mishaps, such as ice stains, can be removed with a damp - not wet -
cloth and, if necessary, a little soap. Then dry the shoe as quickly as possible.
It is also recommended to waterproof the shoes before wearing them for the first time and after each cleaning.
In specialist shops you can find a large selection of impregnating agents for all materials.

suede
Here too, avoid water and moisture, as this will only cause unsightly water stains and
makes the shoes look worn. Waterproof before wearing for the first time.
suede
Ideally, you can remove surface dirt with a suede brush. You can find one of these in shoe shops or - brand new - in our online shop, as part of our new Espadrij Care Set.
L' Attention - always brush in the direction of the leather!
suede
If there are stubborn stains, treat the shoe with a damp cloth.
However, this should be done over the entire surface, as spot treatment will only result in water stains.
Then stuff your shoe with paper to keep it in shape.

smooth leather
Smooth leather espadrilles can be wiped with a damp cloth.
However, do not let the sole get wet. Then use a commercially available
Treat with leather care cream or waterproofing spray - et voilá!

wool felt and lambswool
Wool felt is a very easy-care material due to the wool fat - in other words, it is a natural stain protector. Lint, dust and other surface dirt can be easily vacuumed or brushed off.
wool felt and lambswool
If small wool balls form on the material, also called pilling, these can either be carefully
cut off or use a pilling shaver.

Spills and stains should
should be treated immediately, ideally by dabbing gently with a sponge and lukewarm water.
No problem!
If you follow these tips, the espadrilles will not only look great when you wear them for the first time,
but also in the following seasons très chic.
