Upper: Linen
Linen is a high-quality natural fiber derived from flax, characterized by its exceptional lightness. The material feels pleasantly cool on the skin, is very breathable, and can absorb and quickly release moisture – making it the ideal companion for warm days. Its fine, slightly textured surface also gives our designs a natural, high-quality look.
Insole: Microfiber
Our microfiber insole feels pleasant on the skin and offers a wearing sensation reminiscent of genuine leather. Due to its particularly soft texture, it gently cushions every step and ensures long-lasting comfort. At the same time, the material impresses with its high breathability and excellent moisture absorption and release: It can absorb many times its own weight in moisture and effectively release it. This creates a dry, balanced foot climate – even with extended wear.
Sole: Jute
Jute is a natural plant fiber with a characteristically coarse, slightly textured surface. Our braided jute sole gives each model a special, authentic charm. As a natural product, it makes every shoe a little unique – minor differences in appearance and structure are completely natural. A layer of water-repellent natural rubber covers the jute sole, providing additional protection and durability.

In the 80s, there was hardly anyone who didn't have at least one pair of the light canvas shoes with plant soles and rubber coverings in their shoe closet. After their heyday, they went quiet for a long time. Espadrij l'originale brings back the original espadrilles. While most models on the market today are inferior, poorly manufactured products, Espadrij l'originale offers tried and tested, original quality.
